Dataroom Error Transperancy and Enterprise  Controls

With this release, idgard Sync adds smarter handling of restricted and protected datarooms,  shows a clear error message when the server enforces two-factor authentication, and remediates vulnerabilities in third-party packages.

 Key Highlights
  1. ERM-protected datarooms now show a meaningful error message explaining why access is restricted, instead of failing silently when opened.
  2. Datarooms with terms of use now show a meaningful error message directing users to accept the terms on the idgard website before content becomes available.
  3. Datarooms with a time-based access window now show a meaningful error message explaining why access is unavailable when it has not yet started or has already expired.
  4. When an organization enforces TOTP (two-factor authentication), idgard Sync now shows a clear message with a hint to complete setup on the idgard website.
  5. Enterprise administrators can now disable update notifications to coordinate company-wide rollouts without end users being prompted to update individually.
  6. Two vulnerable third-party packages have been updated to remove known security weaknesses from the application.
  7. File type icons in the box content view now use Microsoft's Fluent Design style, matching the look of modern Windows.

idgard Sync is now available

We’re excited to introduce the first  version of idgard Sync, allowing  you to sync your idgard files directly to your Windows device and  access them via Windows Explorer.

Key highlights

  • Install via MSI, auto‑start with Windows, and access from the system tray
  • Secure sign‑in with SSO and supported 2‑factor authentication
  • Select which boxes to sync and manage them locally
  • Work with files offline and save disk space with on‑demand downloads
  • Automatic and manual synchronization with live status updates
  • Sync overview, activity details, and error reporting
  • Customizable settings (language, theme, sync behavior, proxy support)
  • CSV reporting and access to detailed log files
