Create PrivacyBox

Create PrivacyBox

You create a PrivacyBox to share files there with other idgard® users.  You add users to this box and make them a member of the PrivacyBox. In the member list you give the users the desired permissions to access the files. A PrivacyBox exists until the creator deletes this box. If you have a full license and cannot create a PrivacyBox, you lack the authorization. To get this permission, contact the administrator. You can recognize a PrivacyBox by the "box symbol" in front of the name of the box.

To create a Privacy Box, you need a full license and the appropriate permissions from your Admin.
Proceed as follows:
  1. Click on the "+" symbol in the green bar
  2. Select “PrivacyBox”
  3. Give the "Privacy Box" a name in the "General" tab
  4. The name must not contain more than 64 characters
  5. It must not end with a dot
  6. The name of the PrivacyBox must not contain the following characters: /, \, ? ,* ,:, >,|,$

Save your settings.

You can create up to 2000 boxes per user . If you expect to have several Boxes with the same name, you can add a description to distinguish them.
