Creating a
PrivacyBox in the idgard® iOS App
A PrivacyBox is used to share files with other
users via idgard®. You add users to a Box and make them members of the
PrivacyBox. Assign the users the desired permissions for accessing the files in
the member list. A PrivacyBox will continue to exist until this Box is deleted
by the owner. However, this requires that you
have a full license and have received permission from the administrator to
create a PrivacyBox. This permission is assigned to you in the web application
by your administrator. A Box is generally sealed. When this seal is suspended,
the content of this Box can be shared with users without a license. A PrivacyBox is indicated by the box icon 
in front of the Box name.
Proceed as follows:
- Log into the idgard® iOS app.
- Tap the plus icon in the top-left corner.
- Enter the name of the new PrivacyBox in the field on the top-right. The "Name of the box" must not contain the following characters: /, \, ? , * ,:, >,|,$.
- When you tap “Save” in
the top-right corner, this Box appears in the Box overview.
