Creating a Temporary Box in the idgard® iOS App

A Temporary Box is used to share files with other users via idgard® for a specified time period. You add users to this Box and make them members of the Box. Assign the users the desired permissions for accessing the files in the member list. A Temporary Box can only be used for a specified time period. Once this time period has expired, this Box is deleted automatically with all of its content. The administrator can define the maximum time for Box usage. The default setting is 90 days. If you have a full license and cannot create a Temporary Box, this means that you do not have the permission to do so. Please contact the administrator of your idgard® account to get this permission. A Temporary Box is indicated by the clock icon   in front of the Box name.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Tap the plus icon in the top left of the Box overview.
  2. Activate “More options” using the slider.
  3. Activate the “Temporary Box” slider.
  4. Enter the number of days that the Temporary Box should exist.
  5. Enter the Box name. The "Name of the box" must not contain the following characters: /, \, ? , * ,:, >,|,$.
  6. Tap “Save.”
