Granting write permission Box members

Granting write permission to Box members

With the write permission the Box member can upload files. In addition to the read permission, a file can be downloaded, edited, uploaded again, and renamed. The write permission also allows the user to create a folder. Without write permission the member cannot write messages. With write permission the member can delete their own files and move them into their own folders.

Users who are only granted write permission can upload files themselves but cannot see the files uploaded by other members. This permission is useful, when only the selected members or only the Box creator are to have access to the uploaded files. 



Proceed as follows:

  • Open the 3-dot menu in the upper right corner of the green bar
  • Open the "Members" section
  • You are now in the Member administration menu
  • Activate the permission"Write" 
After you have assigned the permissions, save your settings.
