idgard® app for Microsoft Teams: Create temporary Boxes
Temporary Box
If the function to create Boxes is inactive, please contact the
administrator of your idgard® account. The administrator can assign you the
required permissions. The “Create Box” button is only active for users that
have the appropriate permission. Temporary Boxes, including all Box contents,
are automatically deleted by the system after a certain period of time (x days
after their creation). The time of deletion can be changed by the Box owner,
provided that the maximum lifetime for new temporary Boxes is not exceeded. In the Box overview,
temporary Boxes are indicated by the clock icon to the left of the Box name.
Proceed as follows:
- Log in to the idgard® app for Microsoft
Teams.
- Under Box type, select “Temporary Box.”
- Enter the Box name. The name must not
contain more than 64 characters. It must not end with a dot. The PrivacyBox name
must not contain the following characters: /, \, ? ,* ,:, >,|,$
- Optionally, you can add a description to
the Box.
- Select "Temporary Box deletion date"
and enter the desired date. The deletion date must be within the permitted range. The
maximum lifetime for new temporary Boxes is specified in the
Administration area of the idgard® web app.
- Optionally, you can select the following
Box properties: “Backup active,” “Recycle bin,” or “Limit access period.”
You can change these features later.
- Optionally, you can preset permissions for
new Box members. You can change the preset permissions at any time.
- Click on “Create Box.” If the “Create Box” button is inactive, you do
not have the required permission. In this case, please contact the
administrator of your idgard® account. The administrator can assign the
required permissions to you in the idgard® web app.
The new temporary Box is now
displayed on the homepage.
