idgard® iOS app: Watermark PDF files in the data room

Watermark PDF files

This function can only be found in a data room. The dynamically generated watermark from idgard® can only be added to a PDF file. The watermark contains the name of the user and a timestamp on which date this file was opened and downloaded by a user. This marking provides protection against unauthorized disclosure of documents. If this feature is assigned to a PDF file, it is automatically embedded on every page of the file.  Only the data room creator and the data room administrator can assign and remove the watermark feature from a PDF file. A PDF file larger than 100 MB cannot be watermarked.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Tap the name of the PDF file.
  2. Select "PDF Data Options".
  3. Tap on "Watermark".
You will see the watermark as a "drop icon" under the file.
