idgard® PW:Delete objects
The
box view corresponds to a top view of a box in the idgard® web app. You are online
in the box view. As in the idgard browser version, you can also delete objects
such as folders, files or messages here. If you want to see the changes to the
Box content in the cloud, you may have to refresh the view with the F5 key. The
file will only be deleted from the local Box directory after synchronization is
complete. To delete files of other members of a box, you need the right to
delete as a user. If you do not have this right, you can delete only your own
files, folders or messages.
- Open
the system tray
in the task bar on your
computer.
- Click
once with the left mouse button on the green ID icon
.
- The
box list opens.
- To
open a box in the box view, left click twice on the box name.
- Select
the object you want to delete using the checkbox.
- Click
on the trash can icon
at the top.
Note:
If you have activated the recycle bin function in the idgard® web app, you will
find the deleted object there. Only the box creator or box manager can access
the contents of the recycle bin and restore the file if necessary. If you have
not activated the recycle bin function and do not use a sealed backup, a
deleted object is irretrievably deleted.
