idgard® PW: Encryption and offline decryption of local data

You have the option in the productivity tool to encrypt all synchronized data locally. If this data is to be decryptable without an Internet connection, an offline password must be set. This function is only available when automatic synchronization is switched on.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the system tray   in the taskbar on your computer.
  2. Right-click on the green ID icon .
  1. Select the "Box mapping" option.
  2. Click the "Browse" button.
  3. Select the location for your boxes in your computer's explorer.
  4.  Activate the "Box Directory" function.
  1. If you want to encrypt the local files, the already downloaded files will be deleted. Pay attention to the following note

If you want to access encrypted data in your local Box directory offline, additionally activate the "Offline" checkbox and set an offline password.
