idgard® PW: Set up box mapping

idgard® PW: Set up box mapping

After the first start you will be automatically redirected to the "Box mapping" window. You can also find this at any time in the lower right corner of the system tray menu with a right click on the iD icon   . Without a link from the boxes of the idgard® web app to the boxes located locally on your computer, no synchronization will take place. If there are problems with the synchronization, first check the box links for their correctness.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the system tray   in the taskbar on your computer.
  1. Right-click on the green ID icon  .
  1. Select the "Box mapping" option.
  2. Click the "Browse" button.
  3. Select the location for your boxes in your computer's explorer.
  4. Activate the "Box Directory" function.

You may assign an own directory to each individual Box. In the first instance, you will always find the standard directory, that you chose during your customized installation. If "Box Directory" is check-marked, a further folder is created in the standard directory with the Box name, that then includes the Box data. If you wish to sync Box content in a directory directly with other names, simply un-check this Box, so that no Box directory is created. The Box content is then uploaded directly to the selected directory: e. g., a Box named "Papers" is to have the same content as „C:\User\User Name\Documents\“. If the directory is check-marked, a folder with the Box name "Papers" would be created pursuant to named path and its content then synchronized.
