idgard® PW: Working with boxes in the local directory

The instant auto-sync is activated for a specific PrivacyBox, you no longer have to worry about manually uploading files or synchronizing and updating your data. This is all done automatically according to the rights you were granted in the respective Box and your local settings.

You have marked and wish to sync a PrivacyBox, with which you have worked online for a while. The files in this Box are downloaded automatically and can be found in your local directory. Thus, you can now open a file as usual, modify it, and save it. Uploading the modified file grants other Box members access to that file.

To synchronize files and folders manually, you have to trigger the manual synchronization in the box list. This creates a local directory that can be used for future synchronization processes. If you now edit files or add new ones, they will be uploaded during the next synchronization and the uploaded data will be downloaded by other users.

You will find your local boxes under the directory you specified in the box shortcuts.

Note: Chat and messages that exist online cannot be viewed in Explorer on your computer. Similarly, data rooms are not synchronized with local directories for compliance reasons.
