Manual invitation of a user with license

A licensed user is invited to an idgard® account by being sent a registration link via email. There are two methods to send the registration link to a user: Manually or Automatically. If you want to send the invitation to the user manually through your email client, your email program must be set as the default program on your computer. The invitation text is sent to your email client and can be customized by you.
If the "Send server side invitations" function is activated in "Administration > Enterprise settings", the invitation with the registration link will be sent server-side after the user requiring a license has been created. This function can only be executed by a user with administration rights. The registration link is sent in the background and cannot be influenced. After the one-time automatic sending of the registration link, it is available in the user's profile for a renewed manual sending, if this should be necessary.
To invite a user with a guest license to idgard®, this user must be created in the module Guests or as a user with a full license in the user administration.

Manual invitation

Proceed as follows:

Open the profile by clicking on the name.
Select the "Send invitation" function in the bottom right corner.
You will be shown a standard invitation text with registration link.
Activate "Open in e-mail client", the text with the registration link will be transferred to your e-mail client The invitation text can be customized by you afterwards.
Send the invitation via your e-mail client.

With successful registration and one-time login, the user is invited to your account. After the user has registered, his status is set to "active". For data exchange this user has to be added to the box afterwards. If the administrator of your idgard® account has written an individual text template for the registration, only this template is available for you to choose from. When transferring it to your email client, this text can be changed by you.

Automated invitation

Proceed as follows:

Open the administration in the sidebar on the left.
Click the 3-dot menu in the toolbar at the top right.
Select the "Send server side invitation" function.

If you activate "Send invitation" in the profile of the created user, the text with the registration link will be sent to the user in the background.
