Recommendations on data protection settings

The system can assign certain administration functions based on the TCDP data protection classes 1 through 3. Data protection class 3 offers the highest data protection for your idgard® account. You can find the recommendations on data protection settings in the enterprise settings under the “Access protection” tab. The presets vary depending on the data protection class you select. Use the protection requirements calculator to determine the TCDP data protection class that best suits your needs.

Open the protection requirements calculator.

Proceed as follows:
Open “Administration” on the left sidebar.
Click on the “3-dot” menu in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
Select “Enterprise settings.”
Go to the “Access protection” tab.
Click on “Data protection: recommended settings.”
Select “Show presets.”
Click on “Determine your protection requirement class (German version only).”

Select data protection class:
Before selecting a data protection class, you can compare what effect the individual classes will have on the settings in your idgard® account.

Scroll down. Here you can see a list that shows you the individual data classes and the respective features. If you select data protection class 3, for example, and already have more restrictive settings in place then these settings will be used.

Set the selected data protection class:

 Proceed as follows:
Open “Administration” on the left sidebar.
Click on the “3-dot” menu in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
Select “Enterprise settings.”
Go to the “Access protection” tab.
Click on “Data protection: recommended settings.”
Select “Show presets.”
Click on the desired protection class.

At any time you can customize the features once selected according to your needs. Save your settings.
