The Sealed-Antivirus feature is included in the Growth and Enterprise packages. When you upload a file to a box, it is scanned for any virus that may be present. Sealed-Antivirus can only scan files up to 25 MB in size. The antivirus scan is also performed on PDF files, image files and video files. If an attempt is made to access a file where the scan is not yet complete, a warning message will appear. Our antivirus scanner only scans uploaded files, it is not possible to scan data on your computer. We therefore recommend that you additionally set up antivirus scanning software locally on your computer.
- If the file is virus-free after scanning, it will be marked with a green sign to the left of the file name after uploading.
- It takes some time until the scanning of the file is completed. If you download the file beforehand, you will receive a corresponding message.
- If the file is scanned and infected, it will be marked, to the left of the file name, with the red Biohazard sign. The infected file is moved to the quarantine.
Check status of a file:
The Sealed-Antivirus function is not active.
The file is virus-free.
The scan revealed a threat from a virus.
If you have not purchased the
Sealed-Antivirus function, a sign with a gray border and empty content will
appear after uploading files.
