Search files

If you are in the file view of your PrivacyBox, it is possible to search for files across multiple folder levels. Since the search is a filter, it is sufficient to enter only a few letters of the searched object in the search box. The more letters you enter, the more accurate the search result. You can enter the search term within a descending or ascending directory, or you can search across all directories at the highest directory level.

Proceed as follows:

  1. You are inside the box at any location in the file view.
  2. Enter at least three consecutive characters of the searched object into the search box.  The more characters you enter, the more accurate the search result will be.
  3. The search starts when the first character is entered.
  4. The results are displayed as you type - you do not need to press Enter.
The results are displayed as you type - you do not need to press Enter.
