Starting a Poll or Taking a Vote
Starting – Canceling – Closing a Poll
This function is only available in Data Rooms. Data Rooms are only included in the Growth and Enterprise package. You can start a poll among the members of your Data Room or vote on dates. Use the “Poll” function for this purpose. Only fully licensed users who are authorized to view the membership list and have read and write permissions can start a poll. Both full license and guest license users can participate in the poll provided that they have read and write permissions.
- Open your Data
Room.
- Open the 3-point
menu in the top-right
corner of the toolbar.
- Open the “ Poll ” function.
- If you want to start a new poll, click on the “+” icon.
- Enter a title for the poll.
- In the Options section, enter what you would like to vote on.
- Select the desired participants from the list of Data Room members. The creator of the poll can be removed from the participant list via the checkbox. If not all Data Room members are displayed, you can search for participants in the Search field . The poll creator can remove himself as a participant via the checkbox if he does not want to participate in the poll. Participants must have read and write permissions.
- Define how the voting should be done. You can define the available options and select whether the poll should be anonymous , should be completed by clicking a selection field (single vote) , or whether additional comments are allowed.
- You can then
publish the poll.
In this case, participants can select to Accept or Decline and can
also add a comment. The selection is then confirmed. Only the poll creator can
manage the poll.
Managing a Poll
It is not possible to modify a poll that has already been published, but the following options are available: you can cancel the poll, remind participants of the poll via email, or you can close the poll.
Notify invitees: If not all of the invitees have participated in the poll yet, you can remind them of the poll. The participants will receive a reminder email.
Show report: You can look up the voting result at any time.
Cancel poll: If there are any changes with regard to the poll, you can cancel the poll at any time. Participants will receive an email informing them that the poll has been canceled.
Close poll: Participants will be notified via email when you close the poll. They will then no longer be able to access the poll.
