Unable to upload files

If you cannot upload a file, first check whether you have been given write permission. If this is the case, it might be due to one of the following reasons:

  • The file is too large and exceeds the 5 GB limit.
  • It is a .zip file containing more than 500 folders/files and therefore cannot be unpacked or
  •  the .zip file contains files with special characters that cannot be uploaded.

The upload process may be interrupted if you

  • have not set the session timeout when uploading particularly large files
  • there have been changes to your firewall, proxy, antivirus software or network.

If the following characters |*?\:<>/"& are contained in the file, it cannot be uploaded.

When a file is being uploaded, the upload progress is indicated in the sidebar to the left.
