Upload folders and directories
Upload folders and directories
The folders with files on your computer can be uploaded to idgard® as a folder structure. You don't have to create an existing order of the files in idgard® again, but you can use an existing order. To do this, convert your folders into a .zip file. You can upload one or more files up to a size of 5 GB. The .zip file is limited to a content of up to 500 folders/files if you want to unpack them in a box. You can only perform this operation if you have the "Write" permission.
If the .zip file is very large, set the time of your session to a larger value.
Convert
your folder into a .zip file
Open
the Box
Click
on the "+" symbol in the green bar
Select
the function "Upload files (advanced)”
Click
on "Select files"
idgard®
establishes a connection with your computer
Select
your .zip file
Activate
"unzip”
Upload
your .zip file
After your .zip file has been uploaded, it will
unzip to a folder structure with the existing content.
After your .zip file is uploaded, it unzips to a folder structure with existing content. When you upload files a progress bar appears. Even if this shows 100%, wait until idgard® switches to the file view. Only then all files are uploaded. You can hide the pop-up window with the progress bars. You can still follow the upload process via the "upload" area in the left sidebar.
