Working with PDF files

Working with PDF files

You can open a PDF file in idgard® without having downloaded it before. Downloading a PDF file is still possible and will not be prevented. Once you have opened the PDF file, you can turn the individual pages in idgard® or jump to a specific page by entering the page number. To open a PDF file you need at least the right to read.  If you click on the tiles in the upper left corner, the individual pages of the PDF file will be displayed in thumbnail view. To quickly navigate through the PDF file, click on the thumbnails.

Oppositely to PrivacyBoxes or a temporary Boxes, in a Data Room you can prevent the downloading of a PDF file.



Proceed as follows:

  1. Click the name of the PDF file to open it.
  2. Use the arrow above the file to download it.
  3. Click the magnifying glass on the " plus or minus sign" to reduce or enlarge the view of the PDF file.
  4. Click on the arrows to scroll forward or backward.
  5. Type the page number you want to jump to in the field in the middle.
  6. If you use the tiles on the left, Ihn en idgard® displays the thumbnail of each page.
  7. Click on the wheel, open the page layout.
  8. Click on the hand, activate the pan mode.
  9. You close the view of the file with a click on the " cross symbol" .
