Changing the Box type

Changing the Box type

Provided that you have a full license and the appropriate permissions as Box creator or manager, you can:
  1. Convert a temporary Box into a PrivacyBox
  2. Convert a PrivacyBox into a temporary Box
  3. Convert a temporary Box into a data room
  4. Convert a PrivacyBox into a Data Room.

To guarantee the actions performed remain audit-proof, the conversion of a (temporary) PrivacyBox into a data room cannot be reversed


Proceed as follows:
  1. Open your Box
  2. Open the 3-dotmenu in the green bar
  3. Click on Box settings
  4. Open the ab "Properties"
  5. Select the desired Box typ

Click on the "Save" button.


You can change a box type even if there are already files in the box. The box content is not changed by changing the boy type. If you want to change a PrivacyBox to a temporary box, you have to adjust the period of the temporary box in the next step.
